Sometimes fun is the only reason to do something.
This is some geometric art I’ve created. Of my hometown, my friends and a butterfly I raised. Deep dive via shapes into things I love.

Fun with a Purpose
The Des Moines Home & Garden Show asked local celebrities* to create bird houses based on designs created and colored by kids. They would then be auctioned off to raise monday for our local Ronald McDonald House. Sometimes fun has a good cause!
And hopefully some lucky bird family got to make this bird house their bird home.
*I am very much NOT a local celebrity.
More Fun with a Purpose
I was called upon as a “local celebrity” at the Home & Garden Show once again! This time I was given a dog house to decorate that would be auctioned off to benefit the local Animal Rescue League.
I asked my husband, seen here wheeling it through the showroom, for some help with the project. He’s a union carpenter. (Shoutout to Local 106!) He really helped bring my vision to life. And Cosmo not only approved of the dog house, he was also requested to join us at house drop off due to the event coordinator’s love of pugs. (I think we all know who the local celebrity is around here.)
Even more fun with a purpose!
Years of puns and fun raising money by creating bras to be auctioned off for Bras for the Cause. All the money raised stayed in the state, helping uninsured or underinsured Iowans get access to mammograms and cervical screenings.
A cause close to my heart as I’ve had family member’s, including my mom, battled breast cancer.
