Dorothy’s House
Capital Campaign
Dorothy’s House is a home and safe space for survivors of human trafficking to heal and practice life.
Their home they had been using had to be demolished. The repairs had started exceeding the value and they were in need of a larger, more useful space. The costs to build a new home were high. We were tasked with coming up with a capital campaign to reach out to possible donors to get a new Dorothy’s House built.
Using wood that we pulled up from the floor of the previous home to build boxes with hand-lettering silkscreened over the top. So much had happened in the house, on those boards. We wanted to find a way to honor the past as they hoped to build for the future . These custom boxes would house all of our campaign materials which included: poems by residents, photos of the house and a donation request.
The funding efforts were a success and a new home has been built and now they have the space for more residents to reclaim their lives and look forward to their future.

Dorothy’s House Awareness Campaign
Working with Dorothy’s House has been eye opening in so many ways. Including learning the demographics of buyers, which are not at all what any of us on the team had imagined. This campaign created was created to raise awareness of the actual facts of buyers. To put shame where it belongs, on the buyers. Using the language they use (referring to buying trafficked women as a “hobby”) against them. This campaign includes a landing page, social campaigns, print and OOH. The Story of Dorothy’s House
I am so privileged to have gotten to work with Kellie Markey and Dorothy’s House all these years. From the first home to their current offering of an apartment complex. And knowing how important fundraising is for Dorothy’s House and how often Kellie is asked to tell the story, I wanted to make that easier on her. So, I wrote the story of Dorothy’s House. With some assistance from a vendor partner Invictus, a VO talent that donated her time to a worthy cause and our talented editor and motion graphic director…we helped tell Kellie’s story for her.

Dorothy’s House-Holiday Hullabaloo
A change of pace from our typical work with Dorothy’s House. We were asked to come up with names and branding for a new holiday tradition. The Holiday Hullabaloo was born. A magical experience that provides enteraintment for all ages and also raises funds to help support Dorothy’s House.
